Former City players Noel Whelan and Colin Healy have been training with Scottish Premier League side Livingston.

A contract offer has been made to Whelan who is out of work after being released by Boston United. Livi boss John Robertson said about the striker who had been receiving treatment for a drink problem to BBC Sport: "We'd like to sign him as he's a good player. "Noel seems to be keen to sign for us, but we have yet to agree terms with his agent and we'll have to wait and see if he comes back to us."

Colin Healy's hopes of getting a contract appear dashed after the former Sunderland defender picked up an injury.

Should either of the pair sign, they will link up with Graham Barrett who is at Almondvale until the end of the season.
