Former City Youngster Still Playing Aged 48

Paul Bastock, who was the Coventry City Youth Team's keeper when they won the FA Youth Cup in 1987 is still playing at the age of 48. 

Bastock, who was born in Leamington Spa, has played for Cambridge United, Bath City, Fisher Athletic, Kettering, Boston, Scarborough, Dagenham & Redbridge, St Albans City, Rushden & Diamonds, Worksop Town, St Neots Town and Dunstable Town in a record breaking career which has seen him make over 1,000 appearances.

He has signed for Pinchbeck United and will play in tomorrow night's United Counties League Cup tie against Deeping Rangers as Pinchbeck have their regular keeper Ricky Lovelace injured.
