Former Coventry City youngster Josh Ruffels played for Oxford United in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy Final at Wembley Stadium this afternoon.

Ruffels played in a game which saw Callum O'Dowda give Oxford a 29th minute lead with a header.

Barnsley equalised through a 51st minute Dunkley own goal and then went in front through an Ashley Fletcher goal in the 68th minute.

Six minutes later and Adam Hammill made it 3-1 but Oxford, who had brought on former City loanee Chris McGuire, immediately reduced the arrears with a Danny Hylton header in the 76th minute, but Barnsley held on for a 3-2 win.
