Jon Stead, who spent some of last season at Coventry City on loan from Ipswich, has seen his proposed move to Blackpool fail.
Stead, who fell out of favour with Roy Keane, returned from The Ricoh to Ipswich before the end of last season because of injury.
Since then the former under 21 international has been trying to find another club and Blackpool and Ipswich had agrees a £250,000 fee for the striker, but Stead failed to agree personal terms with Ian Holloway's newly promoted Premiership side.
