Former Coventry City and Coventry City Ladies shirt sponsors City Link have been placed into administration.
The Coventry based delivery company has been making year on year losses and called in professional services firm EY on Christmas Eve.
Around 2,700 jobs are at risk at a company which had seen one of its major clients in John Lewis transfer its business elsewhere.
