Former Coventry City loanee Jacob Murphy scored for England U21's as they cruised into the European Championship Semi-Finals.

Former City striker Cody McDonald has joined AFC Wimbledon.

The striker had been offered a new deal at Gillingnham but rejected it in order to sign for Neil Ardley who had previously tried to sign McDonald before he joined Gillingham two years ago.

McDonald is quoted by the Press Association as saying: "I met with the manager a couple of years ago before I signed at Gillingham again.

"I really liked what he put on the table back then and with the club at a higher level now, at this stage in my career it was something I couldn't really turn down."

Former Coventry City defender Blair Adams has returned to his native North East to sign for National League Premier Division side Hartlepool United.

Adams was at Hamilton last season after a spell at Cambridge United.

Former Coventry City academy player Kyle Barnett has joined Coventry United. Barnett has played for Coventry Sphinx and Atherstone after being released by City.
