Former Coventry City loanee Lloyd Dyer has signed for Burnley.

Dyer, who made six appearances for City in 2005, was a free agent and has signed for Burnley in a deal which lasts for the rest of the season.

Speaking about the winger to the Lancashire Telegraph, Burnley Boss Shaun Dyche said: “Lloyd had come out of his situation at Watford and is very experienced and we still feel he has something to offer.

“He has been involved with two promoted teams, so he brings that experience, but he’s also different to what we already have at the club.

“He is direct and has pace, so he adds a different aspect to our game and the squad.

“He knows that we are going well and he knows it’s not an easy task to get in the team, but that’s the challenge that’s in front of him.”
