Former Coventry City loanee Chuba Akpom has joined Brighton & Hove Albion on loan for the rest of the season.
Akpom, made six appearances for City and has joined from Arsenal, who have loaned him out after the striker came back following a four month lay-off with a back injury.
The England U21 international said about his loan: “I spoke to the boss (Arsene Wenger) and he said it would be perfect for me to come here and get some games. I spoke to my agent and my family and thought that Brighton would be the perfect space to come to.
“The team is flying high sitting top of the league and you can see that they’ve got the winning mentality and playing the right football. I just want to be a positive addition and help boost the team to promotion.”
