Former City Loanee Is New Cardiff Head Coach

Former Coventry City loanee Paul Trollope is to become the new Head Coach Of Cardiff City.

Trollope who made six appearances for City in 2002, whilst on loan at Fulham, has been coaching at Cardiff City since February 2015 and is also a coach with Chris Coleman with the Wales national team.

He will retain his title of head coach but will oversee all first team affairs and replaces Russell Slade.

Cardiff City Owner Vincent Tan said in a statement: " I am delighted for Paul on his new appointment. He is young, full of ideas, extremely hard working and this is an opportunity for him to establish his credentials further.

"I believe Paul will improve the team in several areas. In particular, I hope he will lead the team to play an attractive style of football that Cardiff City fans love.

"We hope that under Paul’s leadership, Cardiff City will return to the Premier League. I’d like to thank him for what he’s done for us so far whilst wishing him the best of luck for the future. He has our full support."
