Former City Defender In Wembley Penalities Win

Former Coventry City defender Martin Cranie was an 87th minute substitute for Huddersfield Town in their Championship Play-Off Final game against Reading FC.

Cranie, who made 114 appeances for City, came on with the game at 0-0.

The game, worth around £170m to the winner, went to extra time. That failed to be produce a goal in what was a poor affair.

So penalties it was and Huddersfield Town won 4-3 to send The Terriers into the Premier League.
