Former Coventry City defender Sam Ricketts is in line to become the new manager of Wrexham AFC.

The former Wales international who retired from playing in 2016 due to a knee injury after making 46 appearances for City, has been working for Wolves Academy.

Wrexham are looking for a new permanent manager after Dean Keates left to return to Walsall in March and have had Andy Davies and Darlington in charge of a team which finished tenth in the National League Premier table.

Wrexham have said that they will make an announcement about their manager tomorrow.
