Former City Chairman To Stand As MP Again

Former Coventry City Chairman Geoffrey Robinson has announced that he has been selected to stand once again as a MP at the General Election.

Robinson, who has been the MP for Coventry North West since the 1970's told the Coventry Observer:  "Being an elected Member of Parliament has been an enormous privilege and my first and overriding privilege has always been to represent Coventry.

"I am extremely grateful to the members of Coventry North West constituency Labour Party for re-selecting me to fight the next General Election.

"I know that there is still more we need to do to face the difficulties in the future and I am delighted to have been given the opportunity."
