Forest Still After Best

Nottingham Forest have again been linked with a bid for Leon Best.

The side whose Chairman Nigel Doughty feels that their promotion to the Championship is an embarrassment and the club that the club should be in Premier League, have made a number of bids for the City striker but never came up with anything in real cash terms that the Sky Blues would even dream of accepting.

Best made forty appearances for City last season and scored on nine times after joining City from Southampton. He was often played as a lone striker by Chris Coleman who rates him highly and would not be prepared to release him for anything less than a £2m cash up front deal.
