New Nottingham Forest manager Colin Calderwood has admitted that he is interested in signing Andy Morrell. Although, he'll have to run the rule over the current Forest staff, Morrell is still a target.

The former Northampton Town boss said: "I've spoken to Andy - we had three or four deals set-up to take people to Northampton.

"One thing I would say about him is he's desperate to come to Forest but I've told him I've got to be fair to people who are already here. "I want to have a look at them and give them an opportunity but he's certainly one to bear in mind.

"He has scored goals in the division below us and has done well at a Championship level, even though he was played a bit out of position. "We've had excellent reports about him as a person, a boy in the dressing room, a worker and a footballer."
