There are fears that the Football League Show may be finishing at the end of the season.
The BBC-1 show which shows the goals and highlights of Championship, League One and League Two matches was not shown on Boxing Day due to what has been described as a budget decision.
According to the Daily Mirror, the BBC are desperate to slash their sports budget and after months of speculation, are now quoting an insider as saying: “It is coming to the end of a three-year contract and it will not be renewed.”
There will not be a show on New Years Eve with the BBC claiming they were unable to fit it into the schedule.
