Football League Should Pay For Carlisle Supporters To Get To Plymouth

Covsupport News Service are supporting calls for The Football League to pay for Carlisle United supporters to travel to Plymouth Argyle on a Tuesday night.

Coventry City supporters might moan about some of their midweek away games but to announce a fixture which will see Carlisle United fans make a round trip of 779 miles on Tuesday August 18th is surely a fault of the Football League's fixture computer and something which appears to have been missed by those who have checked the fixtures for such anomilies before they were released on Wednesday morning.

A midweek journey for a game which should have been played on a Saturday as Plymouth, who have sent their sympathies to Carlisle, will do against Hartlepool, is wrong in every sense and we are happy to back calls for the Football League to compensate with free travel those Carlisle United supporters, who will probably need two days off work, affected by this.
