Flitcroft Apologises After Defeat

Bury manager David Flitcroft has apologised to the 389 Bury supporters who were at the Ricoh Arena to see their side lose 6-0 against a rampant Coventry City.

Flitcroft told the Press Association: "The first thing is to apologise for the performance and the unacceptable ways we conceded.

"It was a whirlwind in the first 15 minutes as we conceded from two set-pieces and that was really disappointing.

"We were on the back foot after that and the way we represented ourselves here today is not the way I want any Bury team to represent the supporters, the board or this football club.

"We have to take responsibility as a group and it won't happen again. It can't happen again.

"It's not a disappointment, it's a feeling of emptiness that I've got inside but I will come out fighting. I will make sure that this team comes out fighting."
