Coventry City Chief Executive Paul Fletcher has appealed to the business community of Coventry and Warwickshire to help with "Operation Premiership".

Said the former ACL CEO: "We're going to get this club back into the Premiership within the next three years, that's our promise and that's what we've said we'll do.

"For us to get back into the Premiership is worth an estimated £200million per year to the city.

"We'll have the name of Coventry in 157 countries and 517 million households but when you drop out, you slowly start to get forgotten about and that's why we need to get back there.

"When we go to the business community, we're not asking for donations or benevolence - we're asking all the people who we're going to help in the long run to help us over the short run."
