Fletcher Wants Bigger Season Ticket Sales

Coventry City MD Paul Fletcher hopes that City can increase their season ticket sales to around 12,000.

Fletcher told the CET: "The attendances so far have not been bad but the season ticket sales have not been as good as I thought they could be. "They are about 9,000 at the moment and I thought we would see a good 50-60 per cent increase on Highfield Road. We don't need to go into the reasons as to why that is,whether people couldn't park or whether people weren't contacted. The fact is we need to get the season ticket sales up and get the attendances up. "Ideally we would like about 12,000 and then when you have sold someone a season ticket you have got to look after them. They have got to feel comfortable and it is not just about the team."

Fletcher went on to promise more consultation with fans saying: "There will some changes but what we want to do is sound it out with the supporters first, so we won't make any changes until we have a little sounding board of spectators," he said with what will be music to the ears of the fans.

"Sometimes us people in management get it wrong because we don't communicate, so I want a closer working relationship with the fans. "I sat back and watched the incident with the badge last year and the fans won the day, and they will always win the day because in the end, the fans own the football club. "We won't have anything like that because we will consult, talk and listen to people's views on things."
