Former Coventry City MD Paul Fletcher has been appointed Chief Eexecutive at Burnley FC.

Fletcher is no stranger to the club having played for them in his younger days and then as a development director after resigning his job at the Ricoh Arena in October 2007.

He had originally come to Coventry to run the Ricoh Arena and when he was moved sideways to an MD role with the Sky Blues, had to spend the first few months undoing some of the things which hindered the Sky Blues from trading properly.

Fletcher was also formerly involved with Bastion which brought in the Private Seat Licences and brought Gary Hopkins and the Manhatten Group to the table of the then very cash starved club who were close to administration.

Last years accounts reveal that he was well paid for his services and when the deal with Manhatten fell through, he duly resigned and continued with his after dinner speaking events.
