Coventry City MD Paul Fletcher has reacted to some rumours that City are going into administration. Rumours by those not in the know and fans of other clubs have been circulating especially on GMK and Mr Fletcher has issued the following statement.

"I cannot see any situation where the football club will go into administration," said Fletcher.

"Talks with the Manhattan consortium are still under way and they remain ongoing. "The club have also issued statements outlining interest from other groups so I do not know where these kind of stories originate."

"I do not think it would be appropriate for me to comment on where we are at the moment. "I have had a chat with the chairman (Geoffrey Robinson) and I have been brought up to speed but all I can say is that talks are still under way.

"The club has decided it is not going to give a day-to-day commentary about where we are. "When we have an announcement to make we will make it. Our position is we are still heavily involved in discussions with the Manhattan group and others."
