Fleck: We Need To Put Away Our Chances

John Fleck has said that Coventry City need to start putting away their chances.

Fleck told the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner after the 1-0 loss at Wigan Athletic: “We had a couple of chances and it’s very disappointing we didn’t come away with anything.

“I think we played Wigan at the right time at the start of the season and they look like they are going on to win the league now. They have gone from strength to strength and built a really strong squad.

“We’re finding it really hard to grind out a 1-0 ourselves at the minute. We just don’t want the season to fizzle out. We want to get some more wins and give the fans something to cheer about.

“We need to start taking our chances, sticking the ball in the net. We scored six against Bury but after that we probably haven’t been sharp enough. I don’t think we had many clear cut chances today, although their keeper made a couple of good saves in the first half.

“I had a chance, it wasn’t a great strike but I think the keeper saw it late and made a decent save but just didn’t make the most of the chances we had.”
