First Ever City Game For Webb

The currently appointed referee for Coventry City's Championship fixture against Burnley on Saturday at the Ricoh Arena is David Webb from County Durham.

Mr Webb got into refereeing after seeing an advertisement in a programme at a game and through talking to referees when he played local football. He was promoted to the National List Of Referees in 2008 and describes one of his best game in charge as the 2008 Kirkham & Wesham V Coventry Sphinx FA Vase Quarter-Final in which finished in a 3-3 draw after extra time.

So far this season, Mr Webb has had 12 matches, two of which have been Championship matches, and shown 38 yellow cards and three red. His last game was Stockport's 1-0 win at Bury last Saturday.

This will be his 11th Championship match of his career and his first in charge of Coventry City.

His assistants are Martin Dexter from Leicestershire & Danny Meeson from Staffordshire, The Fourth Official is Rob Merchant from Staffordshire.
