Few Obstacles To Bringing In A Defender - Mowbray

Coventry City manager Tony Mowbray has said that he is facing a few obstacles in trying to bring in a replacement for Reda Johnson.

Mowbray said to the club website at this morning's press conference: "I left it with Mark Venus, regarding transfers to make some calls for me and we'll get an update this morning.

"There is an issue, when you think about loans they're young players who are talented but want game time. The others are experienced players earning good money who can't get near the 18. If they've played any football they usually go out in January. So it's a difficult situation really.

"There's a few obstacles to get people in to provide some defensive cover. But that's just football."
