A father and son were arrested at Coventry City's League One game with Swindon Town last night.

The pair, who are known not to be involved in the organisation of the SISU Out protests, were arrested for "throwing a missile on to the pitch and then resisting arrest and obstructing a police officer."

The arrests sparked anger amongst friends of those arrested and West Midlands Police have tweeted: "Issues were raised with some sections of the crowd at last night's fixture, 2 Coventry supporters were arrested for offences along with small pockets of fans having to be dispersed due to their threatening behaviour at the end of the game."

The pair have been banned from attending any Coventry City matches home or away until they answer bail on February 25th.
