According to Jim Brown, Tom Bayliss' first start for Coventry City in a league fixture was even more of a special one.

Bayliss, who has come through City's Academy and U23's and progressed in to a no-nonense, tough tackling midfielder, scored in 69 seconds of his debut against Cheltenham Town yesterday.

His goal was the fastest for a starting league debutant since 1956 when Ron Newman scored in 1st min v Southampton.

Wayne Andrews scored faster one at Barnsley in 2006 but his debut came from the bench.
