Fagan Plays For Ireland

Young Coventry City keeper Shane Fagan played for the Republic Of Ireland in their draw against Serbia.

Fagan, played the whole of the game at Ferrycarrig Park which finished 1-1 and was watched by Academy boss Greg Rioch.

The former Cherry Orchard keeper who joined City in the summer hopes he has done enough to be in the squad for  first phase qualifiers of the UEFA Under-17 Championship next month.

These will take place in Kazakhstan from October 18-24 with Ireland facing Liechtenstein, hosts Kazakhstan and the Czech Republic. The top two then progress into the Elite Phase.
