AFC Wimbledon boss Neal Ardley was proud of his team despite their 3-1 defeat to Coventry City.

Speaking to BT Sports, Ardley said, when asked about Seb Brown who had a nightmare, gifting City one goal: "These things happen in football. "I've told Seb Brown to get his head up and I've told the lads how proud I am of them.

"Goals change games but I think their keeper was probably Man Of The Match today, some of the saves I don't know how he did them but I am proud of the boys.

"i thought we played some great football. We had a good go and if we don't concede the goal we win the game. I know that sounds funny to say but I genuinely could not see them getting back into the game. They would have committed more men forward and we would have had more chances at the other end. But it is gone now and we pick people up. They are all human and everyone makes mistakes."
