Eric Black Staying At Southampton

Former Coventry City manager Eric Black is staying at Southampton.

The Scot, who was sacked by Mike McGinnity so that he could bring in Peter Reid, has moved to the role of  Senior First Team Coach.

Black had been the assistant manager but the Saints have appointed Carlos Compagnucci to the job.

 

Former Coventry City striker Robbie Keane is wanted by Birmingham City. Harry Redknapp praised the Irish international to Sky Sports and said that he would add to the dressing room and push for a first team place.

 

Former Coventry City forward and midfielder Gary McSheffrey found the net for Doncaster Rovers. McSheffrey volleyed home in the 57th minute.

 

Former City youngster Courtney Richards played for Macclesfield Twon in a defeat to Derby. Richards had been at Torquay United.
