SENT ON BEHALF OF SANDRA GARLICK, CHAIR OF THE CCFC STADIUM FORUM

Dear ,

I am sure you will have already read that I recently became the chair of the CCFC Stadium Forum.

The team working up plans for a new stadium for the club revealed the early impressions of what a new ground will look like just before Christmas and the purpose of the forum is to ensure the club’s tradition and history is imprinted on the new venue.

I have already met and chatted with lots of supporters since taking up my role, but I now want to meet with Sky Blues fans formally to make sure that all views are taken into account.

I know that everyone wants the club back in the Coventry area as soon as possible, and our only role is to ensure that when that happens, it will be coming to a home which reflects both the tradition and the ambition of the club.

I want to take supporters’ views and then translate them into a series of practical and workable recommendations for the owners of the club and their architects.

I held a meeting with Season Ticket holders earlier this month and I am holding an open meeting on Monday, January 20, for all supporters to attend.

This is not a committee meeting but a chance for fans to input their thoughts on the new ground and also, if they so desire, to put themselves forward to become part of the committee going forward.

Eventually, that committee – which will be formed in February – will be made up of a range of fans with a range of views – including Season Ticket holders, non Season Ticket holders and corporates.

Anyone wishing to attend needs to register by emailing shawny.dalton@ccfc.co.uk Confirmation of booked places will be sent via email. Supporters are asked to arrive at 7pm for a 7.30pm start.

I do look forward to seeing you and working with you over the coming weeks and months to make sure the supporters have as big a say as possible in the club’s home.

Sandra Garlick
