The currently appointed referee for Coventry City's game at York City on Tuesday is Geoff Eltringham from Sunderland.

Mr Eltringham got into refereeing thanks to a work colleague. He had packed up playing after leaving secondary school but wanted to remain in football and thought refereeing was the best way to do that.

This will be his fourth City match. Previous games include home win over Portsmouth and the 2-0 defeat at Barnsley last season and the 2-1 defeat at Preston North End in March 2011.

His assistants are Anthony Tankard and Nigel Smith. Fourth Official is Geoffrey Liddle.
