Elliott Ward In Demand

Elliott Ward is attracting interest from four or five clubs according to reports.

The centre half, who many City supporters feel was roughly treated by Chris Coleman, was loaned out to Doncaster Rovers and Preston North End and is out of contract at the end of the season.

Doncaster are one of the clubs reported as being interested with manager Sean O'Driscoll quoted as saying to The Star: "Elliott did well for us in the month that he was here on loan and we are obviously monitoring his situation.

"He is currently talking to four or five clubs.

"Our hat is in the ring because he doesn't need to come here and me try to persuade him to join us because he came here and did well.

"If I was a player I'd look at all the other options and that is what he is doing at the minute.

"I think the fact that he has been here helps us more so than the boy. You couch things up how you want in football, but it all comes down to money."
