Coventry City's new signing Stephen Elliott has said that he would be interesting his stay at the Sky Blues if everything works out.

Elliott, who was a free agent after his contract at Hearts expired, has initially signed a one year deal.

Speaking to Sky Blue Player, the forward, when asked if he would like more time at City said: "Definitely. Obviously I have signed a year's contract and at the moment, it probably works well for me and the club.

"But, if I can do well for the club and give my all this season, then I would definitely be looking to stay beyond the year.

"It is important for me to focus on this season though. Firstly, I need to get into the side and that's my challenge for me at the moment.

"When I get into the side, I will need to impress everybody around the club, do a good job and then we could look at extending it."
