Police have announced that there were eight ejections after Coventry City's defeat to Doncaster Rovers on Saturday.

Police are also looking to speak to anyone with any information about two incidents in which stewards were allegedly assaulted.

A spokesman for Coventry Police said: “The club is currently reviewing CCTV footage and police are investigating the incidents.

“Anyone with information about those involved in match day crime should speak to officers at the force’s Football Unit on 0345 113 5000.

“Alternatively, people who do not wish to speak to police officers directly can call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

“Anyone arrested for football matters will be subject of applications for football banning orders which will prevent them from attending future fixtures.”
