Eight Clubs In For George Thomas

Eight clubs are being reported as interested in former Coventry City striker George Thomas.

The Wales U20 international is now a free agent after his contract with the Sky Blues expired at the end of last month and has been attracting interest.

According to various media reports, Swansea City, Leicester City, Newcastle United, Burnley and Brighton & Hove Albion from the Premier League are all interested along with Championship sides Derby County and Queens Park Rangers as well as Scottish side Rangers.

Former City loanee Ben Williams who joined City on loan from Manchester United in 2002 but left after playing a couple of reserve team games and no first team appearances, has joined Blackpool.

The Goalkeeper had been at Bury but has left to go to Bloomfield Road on a one year deal.
