Edinburgh: A Fantastic Victory

Northampton Town manager Justin Edinburgh described the 3-0 win over Coventry City as a fantastic victory.

Edinburgh told the Press Association about Keshi Anderson hat-trick which gave Northampton a 3-0 win: "It was a fantastic victory for us and our game management was very good. You always like to have the man advantage although playing against 10 men can be difficult.

"But we switched the play very well and we were on the front foot. We penetrated a lot more in the second half than what we did in the first half.

"My players showed great concentration because they could easily have been distracted by the delays. I can understand Coventry fans' disappointment with their club in the situation they are in - but it was frustrating for us too.

"The players have still got to get to know me and I've got to get to know them. Credit to the players, we looked solid and Coventry created very few chances.

"The players we are bringing in are probably not up to match speed because they have not been playing.

"But there was an improvement after last week's defeat at Milton Keynes. Now we go back to work on Monday and prepare for Walsall."
