Coventry City have Nathan Eccleston back training with them again.
The player not offered a deal by the Sky Blues last season, played for part of City U21's 2-2 draw with Sheffield United at Ryton on Monday and speaking about the striker that City had on loan last season, Steven Pressley told the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner: “Nathan phoned me last week and asked if he could come in and train.
“The truth is we’re a little bit short on the ground just now. We’re still trying to recruit some Under-18s and having to ask some of the younger ones to play 18s and 21s, so this was an opportunity for Nathan to come in and help with his fitness while also helping take a bit of weight off the 18s’ shoulders.
“He’s not playing with a view to a contract, just solely to provide him with an opportunity to gain a bit of match time and fitness, and hopefully he can find himself a new club.”
