An eccentric Coventry supporter has pledged £400,000 to Mr Dhinsa's proposed bid.

Santokh Singh Dulku, is a former landlord of the Mercers Arms, now living in Holbrooks and arrived at the meeting with Jojar Dhinsa in a car packed full of junk and was draped in a City flag.

Dulku who sits in the West Terrace claimed that he was representing the Asian community in Coventry and told the CET: "When I heard about this meeting, I thought it was a good opportunity to approach Joe and suggest we could work together.

"This is no joke and I'm very serious about putting money in. I had considered making a bid myself and I think if we worked together it could be of benefit to everyone."
