Coventry City are rumoured to be amongst the clubs interest in Richard Duffy who is being released by Portsmouth.

Pompey Chairman Peter Storrie has stated that the 23 year old will be released from his contract at Fratton Park if he can find another club, after having only one start since January 2004.

With Stephen Wright succumbing to injuries this season and a number of other players including midfielder Aron Gunnarsson forced to cover that role, Chris Coleman may once again plump for the Swansea supporting right back, who has made over fifty appearances for the Sky Blues in four loan spells.

Former City manager Iain Dowie has missed out on the Nottingham Forest manager's job. The Forest Board have gone for the ex Derby boss Billy Davies, who has signed a three and a half year deal.
