Former Coventry City striker Dion Dublin believes that Coventry City could do well this season.

Dublin, whose media work includes Sky Sports and for the new Football League sponsors, told the CT: "I think Coventry will get into a position to do something this season because they have been hovering in the Championship for far too long.

"It goes to show that if you do leave the Premier League it has hard to get back up there. "Coventry have got to start pushing for the play-offs and trying to push up into the Premier League which is where I think a club of that stature needs to be.

"Aidy Boothroyd is going to be completely different for Coventry. It is going to be something a little more direct and a little more physical.

"Lee Carsley is a super performer and a fantastic leader. I played against him several times in my career and he likes the pressure of leading a team and the pressure of responsibility so that will be great for Coventry."
