One time Coventry City target Andrew Driver has opted to play internationally for Scotland.

The winger, who was priced out of City's range, had been part of Stuart Pearce's England U21 set up,  but realising that he has little chance of breaking into Fabio Capello's team and having had closed to five years schooling in Scotland,  he has opted to play for Scotland.

Driver made up his mind after speaking to  Craig Levine. The new Scotland boss who once had a testimonial game against the Sky Blues told the media:  "Andy Driver gave me the nod yesterday that he is dead keen.

"I said 'Do you want to go away and think about it?' He said 'No, my mind is made up, I want to play for Scotland'.

"We need to find out he meets the criteria exactly, that it's five years schooling and not four years, 11 months and 26 days."
