As expected Michael Doyle has signed a contract extension. The midfielder who joined from Celtic was out of contract at the end of this season and has agreed a two year extension with the option of a third year.
Micky Adams told the club website: "It was no secret that I wanted to keep Michael at the Club as he is an integral part of my plans here. "There isn't a player in the Championship who can match him in terms of work-rate and at only 24, he has many years ahead of him."

Doyler said: "I've been really happy here since the first moment I came to the Club and I'm delighted that I've been offered a new contract.

"It wasn't a hard decision for me to sign because I think we have shown this season that we are capable of competing with anyone at this level.

"For me, Coventry City is a Club that is going places. I enjoy working with Micky Adams, share his vision for the future and am delighted I'm going to be a part of that future."

The reserve team players offered a contract by Micky Adams have until Friday to accept the deals. Ben Turner,Ryan,Lynch,Liam Davis and Andy Gooding have all been offered extra seasons at the club and Adams told the CET last week: "We have made a number of lads offers to stay on and they have not got back to us yet. "They have obviously got agents who will want to thrash out a deal for them, even at that age, and I am not aware that any have accepted anything yet.
