Doyler - It's A Team Game

Michael Doyle has told the club website that he is looking at team performances rather than his own.

The midfielder said: Whether I'm doing okay or not, you've just got to look at the team as a whole and the league position - that's what it is all about. I couldn't say I was happy with my own performances when the team isn't doing well. I think that would be a bit unjustified and unfair on the other lads and the manager for me to say that. We're down near the bottom of the table and I know I can play a lot better, just like everybody else in the team does."
"Stephen Hughes and I just work it between us and share the job - that way we both get up and down. We both go about our business and do things, and I think at the end of last season, when we really needed to, we showed what we are all about.

"The whole team in general was brilliant. Me and Hughesy had a really good partnership going last season. We haven't done too bad this year but Hughesy has been suspended and injured a bit so he hasn't really got going but I hope we can carry on that form from last season."
