Doyle Says Sorry

Michael Doyle has apologised after being sent off last night for two bookable offences. Having been carded for a shove on Steve Jones,Doyle then talked himself into a dismissal some forty seconds afterwards.

The midfielder who misses the trip to Preston on New Years Eve said to the club website: "I made the wrong choice and I'm really angry with myself about it.

"I let myself down as well as all of our players on the pitch and all the supporters in the stands and I'm really sorry about it.

"I'm deeply passionate about doing well for Coventry City but I admit I took that too far. I'm looking forward to hopefully getting back out on the pitch and making amends as soon as possible."
