Coventry City manager Mark Robins has said that Michael Doyle deserve to reach seven hundred appearances.
Doyler is set to make his 700th appearance for the Sky Blues tomorrow at Morecambe in a career which has seen him play over 300 times for City plus spells with Sheffield United and Portsmouth.
Speaking about this feat to the club website, Mark Robins said: "It is really impressive to get to that number. To do that in your career is an oustanding achievment and the clubs that he has been at have been good clubs throughout with a lot of success.
"He deserved it too, because he has applied himself and continues to do that now at 36 years of age. Doyle is a real professional and you do not get to that number of appearances without being that.
"He is still going strong and he has not missed a minutes training. He looks after himself right and trains properly. He is a winner and he wants to win at everything he does. Everyone should be following his lead."
