Coventry City manager Iain Dowie said his tactics of stopping Hull from shooting tonight by and large worked apart from the last minute.

Said Dowie to the BBC: "We nullified them and prevented them from having a shot on target. I can't ask any more from them, but Hull have won it with a long ball at the end."

The City boss had plenty of praise like the SBA who travelled for debutant Daniel Fox. "He hasn't played a competitive game for a while but he was fantastic - both the full-backs were," said Dowie.

"He is a good, young lad with a wand of a left foot and I am sure he will prove to be a terrific signing for us."
