Dowie Looking For Half A Dozen

Coventry City manager Iain Dowie has ear-marked six players he would like to bring in for next season.
Said Dowie to the CT: "We need more pace, width and we clearly need a goalscorer. "I'm looking at bringing in perhaps half a dozen in the summer.

"We know some of the players we want although whether we get them or not is another matter. We're very close to two now, possibly three and we have practically done a deal with a young lad I know."
The City boss admitted that the exit trials for players released by clubs is another avenue of possible players saying: "We've scoured the exit trials because we might just find a diamond we can polish up."

Dowie like everyone else is waiting to hear whether the take-over by Gary Hopkins and his Manhatten Group will go ahead. Due Dilligence is to be completed by the end of this month with talks to follow if the group are still interested.
