Dowie Linked To Watford Job

Former Coventry City manager Iain Dowie is being linked to the managerial position at Watford, following the departure of Adrian Boothroyd by mutual consent.

Dowie was sacked by Queens Park Rangers last month and is looking for a new job but Stan Ternent, who left Huddersfield Town yesterday is currently the favourite with interest in John Barnes and Luther Blissett.

With the Hornets up for sale, but not heavily in debt, any manager may have to wait for a takeover to be agreed by Chairman Graham Simpson before any cash is available for players.

City travel to Vicarage Road on Saturday December 13th.
