Iain Dowie has been linked with the vacant manager's job at Swndon Town.

The BBC have said that the former City boss is in the frame with Aidy Boothroyd, John Ward and Ian Holloway.

Swindon are without a manager following the departure of Maurice Malpas after the Wiltshire side's defeat at Histon Town in the FA Cup 1st Round.

Micky Adams, is a manager under pressure. Sections of the Brighton support are understood to be unhappy at performances at the Withdean Stadium under Adams.

Mind you, the former City manager and player is not the only one under pressure as defender Colin Hawkins has incurred the wrath of the Brighton boo boys for an own goal and giving away a penalty in the FA Cup ties which saw Brighton knocked out of the FA Cup by Hartlepool.
