According to The People, Doncaster Rovers are ready to take former Coventry City keeper Chris Kirkland on loan.

Kirkland came through City's Academy to rise to the first team before then Chairman Bryan Richardson sold him to Liverpool for £6m plus add-ons.

Kirkland is now third choice keeper at Wigan Athletic and new Doncaster boss Dean Saunders, is quoted by the Paper as seeing Kirkland as good cover for Neil Sullivan.
